Engadget Logo Engadget Japanese version Garmin releases a small smart watch Lily for women overseas

Recently, the number of stylish smartwatches has increased, but due to the balance between functions and batteries, the size tends to be large. In the midst of this, Garmin launched the Lily, a small smartwatch in the United States that was strongly conscious of women's needs, saying that "women have been waiting for it." Given the current situation, I don't think it's a good idea to claim that it's for a specific gender, but the 34mm case diameter, which is the smallest Garmin product, may certainly be the model that women with thin wrists have been waiting for.

The display is a 1-inch 16-level monochrome TFT with a resolution of 240x201. There is a pattern on the back, and it looks like a color liquid crystal with a watch face, but in reality the pattern on the dial is fixed and the display is on top of it.

This pattern is also characterized by all 6 different models.

It has the same features as other Garmin smartwatches, such as body battery, heart rate measurement, stress tracking, and fitness tracker functions. Of course, notifications and emails from smartphones can be displayed. It is water resistant to 5 ATM and can be used in the shower or pool. Battery life up to 5 days. However, it is said that it will be even shorter if you use a pulse oximeter (in other words, SpO2 measurement) that measures sleep measurement and blood oxygen level.

Speaking of Garmin's smart watch, GPS function is often sold, but Lily is not equipped with GPS. Belt width is 14mm. Since the mounting part has a unique T-bar shape, it may be difficult to replace it with a commercially available belt.

There is a sports model with an aluminum case and a silicon band, and a classic model with a stainless steel case and leather band. The sports model costs $199.99, and the classic model costs $249.99. It's already available in the US.
