Written By mobilephonebrand

The United States Google announced on November 28 (local time) that the name of the MVNO service "Project Fi" provided by the company in the United States will be changed to "Google Fi", and expanded the supported terminals. Includes many of the popular Android smartphones sold in the United States and Apple's iPhone.

Google、MVNOサービスを「Google Fi」に改称、iPhoneを新たにサポート

Google started Project Fi in April 2015. Using T-Mobile USA and Sprint's mobile network and Wi-Fi hotspots, Project Fi devices will select a faster connection and switch automatically to achieve a stable connection. The basic charge is $ 20 / month. Data services are charged monthly at $ 10 per GB, but unused portion is carried over to the next month. It has become a hot topic as a service that allows you to use the high-speed and stable mobile Internet at an affordable price.

Until now, support terminals were limited, centered on Google smartphones, and Project Fi was regarded as a service that encourages the purchase of Google and partner smartphones. This time, we have expanded support not only to popular Android devices such as Samsung, LG, Motorola, and OnePlus, but also to iPhones. By changing the name from "Project Fi", which had a feeling of beta project, to "Google Fi", it seems that it has been upgraded to one of the services that Google widely provides to the general public. Expectations for expanding services outside the United States are also rising.
