Although it is unavoidable to wear a mask when going out, unlocking with Face ID is a problem for iPhone users. How about moving your mask in front of other people? Unlocking by linking with Apple Watch has an initial cost...so there must be more than a few people who unlock with a passcode when going out.
I want to use "access guide" there. It is a type of accessibility function prepared for the iPhone that temporarily allows the use of only one application, but while this function is active, you will not be asked to enter the passcode when unlocking.
For example, when you are about to go shopping, triple-click the side button while running a payment application such as Wallet or ○○Pay to start the access guide. After 30 seconds (the time set by the system to automatically lock), the screen will automatically turn off, but you can return to the app screen by simply swiping up from the bottom of the screen or pressing the side button. But it doesn't slow down.
When you're done and ready to remove your mask, double-click the side button to exit Guided Access with Face ID. Even if you can't remove the mask, you can also triple-click the side button to exit Guided Access with your passcode.
Usually, if you set the unlock time to 30 seconds, it will automatically lock when you take your eyes off it, and you will have to enter your passcode to unlock it. You can avoid such a situation by using Guided Access. Changing the time or disabling the automatic lock is troublesome, but with Guided Access, you can do it with a triple click. Why not try it when shopping?
