Recently, the image quality of smartphone cameras has improved significantly even in cheap entry-level smartphones. There should be more people who have stopped taking pictures with digital cameras at all.
However, there is a physical limit to increasing the size of the image sensor, so bokeh that depends on the sensor size should be modest. It is practically impossible to shoot with the same image quality and bokeh effect as a single-lens reflex camera.
However, if you increase the magnification of the digital zoom, the size of the bokeh will increase accordingly. Digital zoom where the deterioration of image quality was conspicuous until a while ago. Recently, if the magnification is 2 to 3 times, there are some terminals that can shoot higher image quality than physical optical zoom.

"Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G" is also one of the terminals with excellent digital zoom image quality. If it is about 2 times, the deterioration of image quality is not seen. You can get a dynamic depiction that is different from life size, so use it when you want your subject to stand out.

Sometimes I see a post saying "I don't like the color of Mi 11 Lite 5G". "GCam (Google Camera)" is recommended. GCam is not certified by Google Play, so installation is at your own risk. However, compared to the default camera app, the colors are more subdued, so you'll probably like it. The high image quality of the digital 2x zoom is also alive and well.

Personally, one thing that bothers me is autofocus. If you tap the subject several times, it will be in focus, but if you want to focus quickly and accurately, using manual focus is faster and more accurate.
Xiaomi smartphones can switch between "white balance (WB)", "F (focus)", "shutter speed", "ISO", "exposure (EV)" and "lens" in pro mode. The "F" adjustment means manual focus.
Manual focus is also effective when shooting small subjects that are difficult to focus on. First, launch the camera app, select "Pro", and zoom in on the subject you want to focus on.
Next, adjust "F (focus)" to the position where the subject can be recognized most clearly (when focus peaking is turned on from the top menu, the in-focus part is highlighted in red). If you can't change any position, you have no choice but to move the terminal itself.
Once you have finished adjusting the focus, you can return to the appropriate magnification and press the shutter. It may feel a little cumbersome, but manual focus definitely reduces the number of failed images that feel ``loose'' due to enlarged display. If you have a lot of blurry photos, please try it once!
